Our events just don't happen - it takes a lot of planning. We end our 2009-2010 season with an Executive Council Planning meeting for the 2010-2011 season.

A Saturday joint event with the Visual Effects Society (VES) for a screening of Disney's "Tangled". This event is only open to current LA ACM SIGGRAPH Chapter members plus one guest per member.
The R&D team will discuss the pipeline and elements created for Disney’s retelling of the Rapunzel story.
Twenty-eight years ago when the Los Angeles SIGGRAPH Chapter was formed, the first presentation was on TRON. Join the artists at Digital Domain as they discuss the new installment in the story of code writer Flynn. Also, present will be visual effects artists from the 1982 TRON.

Members Only Join Zareh Gorjian of the Solar System Visualization project, and other members of the JPL computer graphics team, including several drivers of the Mars Rover, as they discuss space science, visual image processing and computer graphics technology in relation to the MSL, Juno, and Solar STEREO missions.
Visual effects from X-MEN FIRST CLASS will be presented.
