As executive vice president of story and franchise development at Blizzard Entertainment, Lydia
Bottegoni oversees the creative strategy and execution of cross-media development around Blizzard’s award-winning game franchises. She is responsible for extending the Blizzard game universes across a variety of media formats and platforms, developing the corresponding business strategies, and driving the company’s game worlds into new arenas to engage and entertain an ever-expanding global audience.

In this role, Lydia leads a team comprising some of the industry’s most talented animators, visual
artists, musicians, and storytellers, all working to develop music, cinematics, lore, and story pieces
that help bring the worlds and characters of Warcraft, StarCraft, Diablo, and Overwatch to life for
millions of players and fans around the world.

Prior to Blizzard, Lydia was head of production for Sony Pictures Imageworks, overseeing all projects
in production while also leading the artist-management teams across multiple studio locations. She
was a co-producer on Sony Pictures Animation’s Hotel Transylvania and Cloudy with a Chance of
Meatballs, as well as Surf’s Up, an Academy Award nominee for Best Animated Feature, and a winner of two Annie Awards.

Lydia was the senior visual effects producer on Academy Award-nominated Spider-Man and Spider-
Man 2, winner of the 2005 Academy Award for Best Visual Effects. As a visual effects producer, her
credits include the Academy Award-nominated Stuart Little, Contact, and Starship Troopers.
Lydia is a voting member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences and an active member
of the Producers Guild of America.
