Susan Vanderhyden was the Catering Manager and later stepped in as the Membership Chair. She has been an active volunteer and a member for the LA ACM SIGGRAPH chapter and to the Animation and VFX community since 2008.
With a Bachelor’s in Computer Graphics and a Master’s in Educational Leadership, she has worked in higher education assisting art students in a university setting for the past 10 years. She currently is a Career Advisor counseling Animation and VFX graduates. She partners with companies as a liaison connecting talented artist with employers by using her experience in management and recruiting. She is an effective advocate for the creative community and enjoys sharing her knowledge with her peers. Susan seeks industry trends and relays information to Department Chairs, students, graduates, and alumni.
Susan enjoys volunteering her time to the LA ACM SIGGRAPH chapter as she is inspired by those who are creative. She takes pleasure in the role of Membership Chair as it allows her the platform to share the amazing events that LA ACM SIGGRAPH brings together to the creative community.
