
Marc Pomerantz is a Technical Group Supervisor and Section Technologist in JPL’s Mission Control Systems Section. With over twenty-five years of software engineering experience, Marc’s technical work at JPL, Caltech and in industry has focused on the modeling, simulation and operations of robotic space vehicles; the design and development of real-time 3D visualization engines for space mission research and operations, especially during critical mission phases such as Entry, Descent and Landing. Marc’s research interests focus on network cyber-security visualization, graphics processing unit (GPU) computation, Virtual and Augmented Reality for mission design and operations, and Digital Twin system development for space mission operations. When not staring at a computer screen, Marc likes to relax at the beach, read historical non-fiction and play guitar in his rock band.
