Kyle Carlin is a dedicated creative technologist, musician, projection mapper, graphic designer, and DMX lighting production manager. He has served as Co-Chair and past Vice Chair of LA ACM SIGGRAPH, as well as longtime MC Announcer, bringing energy and community spirit to every event.
Despite facing greater challenges than most while living with Crohn’s disease, Kyle has consistently channeled resilience into building vibrant creative spaces. He began his artistic journey playing music at age 12, developing a unique vocal style and collaborating with producers and musicians. He later merged his passions for music and technology, mastering Ableton Live and expanding into immersive production. Mentored in projection mapping, he now works across many different lighting consoles and production systems with a deep understanding of computers and technical workflows. His technical toolkit includes Ableton Live, Cinema 4D, Notch, TouchDesigner, Smode, Resolume, the Adobe Creative Suite, and DMX lighting systems.
Through his company, Brainhertz Productions, Kyle delivers high-quality audio-visual performances, projection mapping, and full-scale production management. As a leader, he is passionate about empowering communities through accessible arts education and using technology to foster inclusive, therapeutic creative expression. He is committed to keeping LA’s creative tech scene vibrant, connected, and growing.
Kyle looks forward to continuing to “spread art like wildfire” as Chair — strengthening events, supporting members, and building even stronger bridges between art, technology, and community
